Introducing the Neutrality Upgrade

Neutrality is the most significant improvement to the Neutron network since it launched on Replicated Security. Neutrality extends Neutron’s feature set beyond cross-chain interoperability, enabling developers to leverage app-specific infrastructure to shape Neutron’s liquidity and blockspace in novel ways, empowering them to build better applications.
Duality
Neutrality is not a typical network upgrade, it’s a blockchain merger. It fuses Duality’s hybrid orderbook appchain into the Neutron binary. By enabling Automated Market Makers (AMM) to aggregate liquidity and order flow into a shared, in-protocol venue, Neutrality will help set the ecosystem free from the woes of fragmented liquidity.
Duality will make bootstrapping new AMM-based protocols easier, reduce computational costs and strengthen on-chain oracle prices. Traders will be able express their preferences through granular order types (e.g., fill-or-kill, good-until, limit, etc.). Liquidity providers and strategy developers will be able to approximate any feasible AMM curve (xyk, stableswap, concentrated liquidity and more). Through Neutrality, contributors to Astroport, Duality and Neutron are looking to ensure that the most advanced liquidity infrastructure in the entire industry is built on Cosmos.

In just a few months, Neutron has made substantial strides in bootstrapping its cross-chain DeFi ecosystem.
